“Foundation of Tomorrow”

Metafrax presented a book dedicated to the company’s anniversary. The publication tells about the past and present of a team of Gubakha chemists.

On March 20, the Gubakha Museum of the Kizel Coal Basin (KCB) hosted a presentation of a new corporate book about the history of Metafrax Chemicals, published in honor of the 70th anniversary of the company.

The presentation was attended by company executives, veterans and young employees, as well as students from the Ural Chemical Technology College, the Metafrax class of school No. 14, and representatives of the museum and the town library.

Sergei Bronteryuk, Director of HR and Social Development at Metafrax Chemicals:

“This book is a kind of textbook on the history of our company, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year. This is not just a grey chronicle and dates, but vivid stories, memories of our veterans, colleagues, their achievements and victories.”

The thought leader of the anniversary book was Vladimir Daut, who devoted his entire working life to the plant and led the company for more than 20 years. His memories, as well as the memories of veterans and active employees of the company, formed the basis of the book.

Irina Chernykh, Assistant Coordinator, who became the main motivator in the project to publish the anniversary book:

“These are the stories of people for whom Metafrax has become something more than a place of work, it has become a fulcrum, an opportunity for professional and personal fulfillment, a launchpad for a successful career. There is a very good expression: "I cannot change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust the sails so that I can always achieve my goal." These words very precisely describe the historical path of our company, which, even in difficult times, didn’t stop searching, implementing and moving towards its goal. Metafrax has new plans ahead, and I hope that the next book will be published with the title "The Future is with Us!”

Alla Noskova, the author of the publication, shared her impressions about the working process. She noted that the book is a real connecting thread that unites veterans of production, honored workers and the modern generation of chemists. Over the past seventy years, dozens of labor dynasties have developed at the enterprise, and the author specified the memories of representatives of one of the largest, the Prusovsky family. Alla Noskova was the first to present the anniversary book to Frida Prusovskaya.

Also on the presentation day, the publication was granted to the KCB Museum, the Gubakha library and all participants of the event. Flipping through the pages of the book, many recognized familiar faces, recalled managers of the plant, units and workshops in which they worked, and shared their impressions of how the company had changed over the years. Students and schoolchildren noted how strong the connection between the plant and the town has become during this time, and how today Metafrax remains the engine of sustainable development for Gubakha. The publication includes archive materials, historical documents and photographs, as well as memories and stories about the plant’s workshops and divisions.

Along with the print edition "Foundation of Tomorrow", the company presented an e-book, which also included video interviews, historical subjects, photographs and materials.
