The first finalists

The annual competition of scientific and technical papers among young specialists has begun at Metafrax Chemicals. On April 21, the first defense of the projects took place, during which six participants presented their developments to the expert commission.

The work was evaluated by a commission chaired by Andrey Yeremeyev, the company's Technical Director. The jury also included Dmitry Kuryshev, Chief Power Engineer, Dmitry Kotsolainen, Chief Mechanical Engineer, Boris Gershonok, Head of the Automation and Metrology Department, and Nina Silveistrova, Deputy Head of the Planning and Economic Department.

– Protecting the work of young professionals is an established tradition in the company, and we always take it very seriously. The presentation of their work shows how well the young employees have managed to adapt to the company and offer their improvements. This is a unique chance to prove yourself as a competent, motivated and erudite specialist," said Andrey Yeremeyev in his welcoming speech.

The participants presented diverse and relevant projects. Gleb Zhdanov, an engineer at the Logistics Department, conducted an analysis of alternative deicing materials, suggesting replacing traditional sand-salt mixtures with environmentally friendly reagents.

Galina Vologdina, Design Engineer of the design department, presented a report on the use of domestic information technologies in the design of the general plan of the enterprise.

Mikhail Kolovanov, an engineer at the Department of Chief Mechanical, presented a project to modernize the base of the Department for the repair, manufacture of equipment and its spare parts (ORIO) of the repair workshop (POROTC). The specialist suggested using Russian analogues of foreign equipment, which will reduce the manufacturing time of parts and speed up the repair of equipment.

Design engineer Sergey Galkin presented the technology of mobile photogrammetry using a conventional smartphone and special software instead of expensive equipment for determining the shape, size and spatial position of objects.

Alina Sadykova, a leading specialist in the Department of Motivation and Remuneration, has developed a project to optimize the business process of operational payroll planning and create a forecasting algorithm.

Veronika Rusinova, a design engineer, presented a 3D model of existing outdoor water supply and water disposal networks at the Metafrax upper site, demonstrating the capabilities of modern BIM technologies in design.

Following the results of the first stage of the competition, Sergey Galkin, Alina Sadykova and Gleb Zhdanov reached the finals. The Chairman of the commission, Andrey Yeremeyev, noted the high level of all the submitted works and the noticeable involvement of specialists in solving the tasks assigned to them.

The competition is held to develop scientific and technical potential, improve the professional level of young employees, identify promising candidates to form a talent pool and stimulate talented employees. It provides an opportunity for young professionals to offer innovative solutions to improve production efficiency, introduce advanced technologies and optimize work processes.
